Five-Star Review: Around The Town Chicago

“I did not get a chance to taste the whole menu (that would have been a feat), but I did have the juiciest crabcakes I have ever had, a taste of a steak and a taste of their wonderful Pork Chops (a even finger high chop that is cured, dried and roasted, then caramelized and topped with Perry’s signature herb-garlic butter). A masterpiece.”

Houston Chronicle Feature: Blackberry Basil Smash

“And finally, I’ve recently become a fan of the bar program at Perry’s Steakhouse. The cocktails are works of art, and I enjoy watching the bartenders muddle, shake and fuss over their creations.

My favorite is the Blackberry Basil Smash ($12). Made with vodka and amaretto, blackberries and fresh basil, it has restorative powers after a muggy afternoon of chores. Trust me.”  – Syd Kearney

The perfect coda to a meal of porterhouse and martinis.       To read the full article, click here.

Austin Man Magazine: THE GOOD LIFE: STEAKHOUSES

“Experience the perfect combination of foodie paradise, carnivore delight and progressive cool factor – you’ll quickly be impressed.”

“The Chateaubriand is a rare cut of steak that is said to have been created for a French diplomat to Napoleon. What you’ll savor is a buttery soft medallion that will blow any filet you’ve had out of the pasture.”

HoustonPress: Top 5 I-10 Eats

Perry’s Steakhouse Memorial City was rated number 1 on “Top 5: I-10 Eats” featured in the HoustonPress:

Perry’s gets the number one spot based solely on one of my favorite dishes in all of Houston–that famous pork chop. It’s more like half a pig, rather than a chop, and it’s carved tableside. What the waiter sets in front of you could feed three people. It’s as beautiful as it is tasty. The meat is very tender, and has this salty and sugary outer-crust. Try dipping a piece of the loin in some applesauce and let me know how that works out for you.
