During this year’s Houston Restaurant Weeks, more than 11,000 Perry’s Steakhouse & Grille fans across the Greater Houston area dined out in support of the Houston Food Bank. As a result, Perry’s was able to donate $78,449 to the organization, surpassing its 2014 donation by more than $20,000.
Houston Restaurant Weeks has taken place annually for 12 years, with this being Perry’s seventh year to participate. The event is a celebration of the city’s vibrant restaurant scene while simultaneously fundraising for a local nonprofit that helps feed those in need. Perry’s participation this year will help the Houston Food Bank provide 235,347 meals to the community.
From August 1 through September 7, Perry’s Steakhouse locations in Champions, Clear Lake, Katy, Memorial City, Sugar Land and The Woodlands offered a special three-course Houston Restaurant Weeks menu to diners, with $7 of each $45 dinner going to charity. This year’s menu featured signature favorites including the pear and wedge salads, Perry’s Famous Pork Chop, an 8 oz. Filet Perry and the Dessert Trio.
“Since Houston is where our roots are planted, it brings us great pride to be able to give back to the community that has supported Perry’s over the decades,” Chris Perry, founder and CEO of Perry’s Restaurants, says. “Houston Restaurant Weeks is a great program, which is why it has continued with such success for 12 years. It showcases Houston’s exceptional culinary talents and encourages the community to give back to a worthy cause. Because of that, Perry’s is honored to participate every year.”
